According to the Board of Education's Student Code of Conduct policy regarding attendance and punctuality, students are expected to attend school daily (face-to-face and virtual), attend all classes, and be on time every day.

Parent's must notify the school of their child's absence in one of the following ways:

Tardy
- When attending class on campus, students must report to their classroom at 7:50 am. If a student arrives after 7:50 am, they must report to the office for a tardy slip before going to class.
Absences
- Students who are in school for less than one-half of the school dat are marked absent for the entire school day.
- After 5 absences, a notification to parent/guardian will be given.
- After 10 absences, a letter will be sent home to the parent/guardian.
- 15 or more absences is considered chronic absenteeism, and could result in a referral to the school social worker.
Parent's must notify the school of their child's absence in one of the following ways:
- Call the Ho'okele front office by 8:30 am on the day of the absence providing your child's name, grade, room number (F207), teacher (Ms. Valdez), and a brief reason for absence.
- Send a note to the office stating the reason for the absence.
